Mathematics and Statistics Cert credits

Hello,

I am reaching out for insight on the options of getting credits obtained in S03: (https://www.open.ac.uk/courses/maths/certificates/certificate-in-practical-statistics-s03) transferred to Q36: (https://www.open.ac.uk/courses/maths/degrees/bsc-mathematics-and-statistics-q36).

The scenario:

I am interested in pursuing a math degree in Q36 but wanted to find out if it makes sense to first register and complete S03 (Professional Certificate in Practical Statistics) so I could focus on statistics at the beginning (year 1 and year 2) and later have the credits transferred to the degree program Q36 once I formally register for it.

From the descriptions on the OU course sites, there are several common modules between the certificate program and the degree, but I would like your help in understanding how much of the credits from S03 can be transferred i.e. everything or only a portion of the credits?

Additionally, what general advise can you provide since I am interested in the degree program, but would truly like to focus on statistics for now, for several reasons.

Thanks.
