Hi Scholastica and thanks for getting in touch.

As our courses are open entry we don’t offer foundation courses as some traditional face to face universities do.  Instead we offer a choice of three Access modules which some students do to prepare for their chosen Open University qualification. They can be helpful for students who haven’t studied for a long time or who don’t have A levels or equivalent qualifications.  They introduce new students to distance learning, help to develop study skills and introduce you to your chosen and related subjects.  You can read about them here:

http://www.open.ac.uk/courses/do-it/access

You can see all our courses on our website here:

http://www.open.ac.uk/courses/

When you find the course you want if you scroll to the foot of the page it will show the available start dates and you can click on the register link.  However, as we are always keen to make sure that new students choose the right course which will meet their goals and requirements, you are very welcome to call Student Recruitment where our advisers will be pleased to look at your options, answer your questions and either register you over the phone or refer you for advice if we think this will benefit you.  The telephone number is 0300 303 5303 and lines are open Monday to Friday 8am – 5.30pm.
