Bachelor of Engineering

Afternoon,

I am looking to start study Bachelor of Engineering.

I have NVQ Level 6 in Construction Contract General (ProQual).

Will it help me to skip few years of studying?

I also finished Privat Boarding School in USA - Vermont Academy. (Have all relevant papers to provide)

With this degree at the end, can I apply for Masters in Construction Design Engineering?

Thank you.

Hi Sergiy and thanks for getting in touch.

If we are able to award you credits for previous study this will reduce the amount of study you need to do for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (BEng) (Q65) and so will reduce the length of time needed to complete it.  Any previous study needs to be in a closely related area to the modules within the Q65, to have been completed in the last 5 years and to be at Level 4 or above.  You can see information about transferring credits from previous study on our Credit Transfer website here:

http://www.open.ac.uk/study/credit-transfer/

You can contact the Credit Transfer Centre via their website if you have any questions about your previous study and whether to apply.

As every University sets its own entry requirements you would need to check direct with the institution offering the Masters in Construction Design Engineering to ask if they would accept the BEng as entry to their programme.
