Which Course is for me?

Good Afternoon,

I have woke up this morning with an urge to better myself!

I am very interested in computer programming and have been dabbling as a hobby for a couple of years.

Would you be able to advise which course is best for me? Like I stated I like computer programming but I also have an interest in cyber security, are there any courses in which I can do elements of both?

Kind Regards

Hi Jaye,

It is great that you are interested in studying with the Open University. There are a number of different qualifications that we offer related to Computing & IT:

http://www.open.ac.uk/courses/computing-it

The next available start date is in October, but registrations are open now and will remain open until 9 September. There is plenty of time to choose the right qualification for you.

If your study is primarily to help with a career I recommend careers research and advice. A good starting point, with some useful links, is this page from our Help Centre:

You may also want to take a look at the information here:

A core module in our computing qualifications is Introduction to computing and information technology 1 (TM111). You may want to check your readiness to study this module with this online diagnostic quiz:

If you would like to discuss your options, or to register, you can call our advisors on 0300 303 5303, Monday to Friday 8:00-17:30. Our Full contact details can be found here:
