no very clear what to choose

 I have been looking all your different courses, and personally I'm interested in two;

One is law and the other one is psychology and criminology, 20 years ago I  study two full years of a degree in psychology in Spain, but now i don't know which one of the two I have to choose , if I should go to psychology directly or I should get a preliminary course as an introduction to study law.

Obviously psychology will be easier to remember but I find law much more interesting.

I would like some orientation, if that is possible.

Thank you very much in advance

Hi Cristina and thanks for getting in touch.

If you are studying for interest it may be best to choose the subject which interests you the most. We have free courses available on our OpenLearn website - you can study as many as you like and at your own pace. This may help you to decide which subject you would prefer to study formally. The OpenLearn website is here:

https://www.open.edu/openlearn/

We have the BA/BSc (Honours) Open degree which allows students to combine study from a range of subjects so you can tailor make your own degree. You can see the information about this and how it works at:

http://www.open.ac.uk/courses/arts/degrees/open-degree-qd

If you are studying for future career there is information on where the different courses can lead. In each course description there is a ‘Careers’ tab which gives information about this. If you live in England you can seek free and impartial careers advice from the National Careers Service via their website at:

https://nationalcareers.service.gov.uk/

If you live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland you can access the relevant careers service at the foot of the following page:

https://nationalcareers.service.gov.uk/about-us

If you live outside the UK you can approach your local education service where they should be able to tell you about any adult careers service which may be available.

When you have had a look at these links and have had advice you are welcome to call our Student Recruitment team and they’ll be pleased to help. The number is 0300 303 5303 and lines are open Monday to Friday 8am – 5.30pm.
