Office skills

Due to covid I have out of work since July 2020, and to better my skills thinking taking courses, but unsure of arrordabilty.

Hi Anne,

I am sorry to hear that you have been out of work for almost a year now. 

Most of our courses have their next start date in October, and registrations are open until the first week of September. You can take a look at the courses that we offer here:

You may be interested in checking out our free courses on our OpenLearn website, that can be started at any time. Many of them are adapted extracts of Open University modules:

You may also be interested in checking out FutureLearn, which is a website which provides free courses to study, similar to The Open University's OpenLearn. Modules can last between 2 - 8 weeks in length and can be used as a preparatory step before undertaking OU study. Most modules allow students to obtain a 'Statement of Participation' or 'Certificate of Achievement':
