Hi Samantha
We do offer a system of credit transfer but to be awarded
credits towards one of our British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited degrees your previous study needs to
be either in psychology or a closely related area so unfortunately your degree
wouldn’t be eligible. You can read about credit transfer here:
https://www.open.ac.uk/study/credit-transfer/
We offer four degrees which are accredited by the BPS. They are open entry and you would start at Stage 1. You can read
about these and see some general psychology careers information on our website here:
https://www.open.ac.uk/courses/careers/psychology
We also offer an MSc in Psychology (Conversion) (F92). For entry you need a 2.2 UK honours degree as a minimum. Though your degree doesn’t
have to be in psychology you do need the skills expected of a social sciences
graduate. You can read about the masters
here:
https://www.open.ac.uk/postgraduate/qualifications/f92
We recommend you seek careers advice about careers in and
routes into psychology if you haven’t already. If you live in England you can
seek free impartial careers advice from the National Careers Service and
their website is at:
https://nationalcareers.service.gov.uk/
If you live in
Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland you can access the relevant careers service
at the foot of the following page:

When you have had advice and looked at our courses if you
call our Student Recruitment team they’ll be pleased to help. The telephone number is
0300 303 5303 and lines are open Monday to Friday 8am - 5.30pm.
