Do I apply for loan now or when courses enrol?

I've just registered my interest in a course that says that it isn't open until march and I will be contacted then.

I am intending to apply for a student loan to cover the costs of this and read that i have to do that elsewhere and it can take a few weeks to be approved etc.

So my question is do I apply now or do I wait until I am contacted in March as I haven't actually applied for a course today it would only let me register interest.

Hi Kirsty

It's best to wait to be registered onto your course and reserved onto your first module before making an application for funding.

Once you've made your application you can then complete your OU registration.

Please see the following link for a helpful timeline,

I hope this helps, if you have any further queries please do let us know.
