Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. We offer a range of creative writing courses, I have attached a link to these below:

https://www.open.ac.uk/courses/creative-writing

When studying with us you will study on a module by module basis. This means that you can pick your own study intensity, you can study full time or part time. Part time requires between 16 - 18 hours a week per 60 credit module. Full time requires 32 - 36 hours per week for 120 credits worth of study. If you start part time you can switch to full time if you so wish and if the module is available at that time. You can find more information about how OU study works here:

The next starting date for modules will be in October. Registration for courses starting in October 2025 will open mid/late March and close early September. From mid/late March you can register online https://msds.open.ac.uk/signon or by giving us a call on 0300 303 5303 (Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:30).

We also offer a number of free creative writing short courses (not credit bearing) that can be studied, many of these free courses are samples of the paid courses, the full list can be found on the link below:

I hope this information can help and wish you a pleasant week.
