Trees 🌳 play vital roles in our urban environment, from removing CO2 and releasing O2 into the air we breathe, to reducing the impacts of surface water (pluvial) flooding 💧. Why not try a bit of citizen science this summer & map some trees in your urban environment 🌍https://www.treezilla.org/treezilla/map/ :-)
Just completed this short OpenLearn course "Water for Life" http://www.open.edu/openlearn/nature-environment/the-environment/environmental-studies/water-life/content-section-0?active-tab=description-tab as part of my preparation for module S112 Science: Concepts & Practice. Really well presented free course, well worth a few hours of study, makes me want to learn more....:-D
Began brushing up on my Maths for science skills yesterday. Amazed at how much of what I've learn't over the last year has been retained V-. Using really helpful Maths-skills PDF from the OU :-)
Decided to study modules S112 Science: Concepts & Practice & T213 Energy & Sustainability this October (academic year 2018/9) 8-)
