Hello, I’m Dr Rachel Hilliam and I’m a Senior Lecturer in Statistics with the Open University.

I want to tell you today about a qualification that we have, called the Professional Certificate in Practical Statistics.

This qualification is designed for people who want to analyse data to solve practical problems in the workplace.

People with the skills to analyse the data are in short supply.

And there is a huge range of opportunities in all sorts of areas. For example, sciences, economics, education, finance, government, health: in fact, all areas collect data.
