This module is for any students who have an interest in the field of mathematics education and how people learn and think about shape, space and geometry.  You will develop deep professional knowledge that supports moving on to initial teacher education, tutoring or home education as well as your own mathematics. You will work on geometry tasks that are accessible to school-age learners but lead into fundamental mathematical ideas.  After studying pedagogic theory about how people think and reason in geometry, your will work with a learner (of any age) to identify progression in geometric thinking. You’ll develop skills including adapting tasks, representing geometric reasoning effectively to others and using a range of digital technologies for study and for teaching.
