Technique

Visible to anyone in the world
Edited by Patricia Stammers, Wednesday, 4 Jun 2014, 09:46

With reference to Creative Writing Workbook (A215); Chekhov's advice;

'Write your story then cut the beginning and the end ....'

That works!

P.S. Copy of Envoi, a poetry magazine, arrived in the post and I have requested a copy of Other Poetry. So, I will be able to compare the two and decide which one to cite in TMA06

Well, I've just cut the beginning of my EMA, Patricia, so perhaps I'll move on now and cut the end.  Then, of course, I could move on to the middle.........!

Hi Joy!

smile Hm! I've not tried Chekhov's technique on an assignment as yet. Mine is currently being edited. I am planning to submit prose as I did for the first and second TMA although teacher didn't like either. I've done better with poetry ... so having aired this astonishing fact maybe I ought to send a poem for my EMA.

Thanks for your comment and the opportunity to erm think, in public!

Good luck with your EMA.
