I have issues with fat 'eck, the man has the touch of the scunner about him. He has more fat-folds beneath the jaw-line than anyone has reason to have. Dr. Johnson might have been talking about 'eck when he warned about, "a scotsman on the make".
His fatness isn't at issue here; we aren't voting for him in our referendum; and to be clear we aren't voting for 'freedom!' either. We are voting for democracy. I should gloss that, by democracy I mean that we, and our politicians, will suffer from our mistakes.

This is about people, it doesn't matter how much you bribe/scare/break me, you don't have the money/muscle for us all. This is the root of why scotland breaking away hurts: because money & power and individuals won't have the power to do what they want any more.
I seem to remember that Paul Daniels said that he would leave the UK if Labour won the 99 election. The useless trickster is still here and so will the greedy spins-sucking fuckwitts who have done nothing but flapped their mouths and sat in a chair.

By all means vote Yes, and then watch Scotland fall into the abyss of financial ruin. Scotland will become as influential in World affairs as Lichtenstein i.e. non-effectual. By breaking the UK apart we will also weaken our friends in England, Wales and N Ireland. The Europeans will have a field day with weaker voices to challenge their every move. Salmond and Sturgeon talk well but how are they going to pay for all of this ? Oil ? Ha, what a joke. Watch your taxes going up, watch businesses pulling out of Scotland as business taxes also go up, and for what? So that a wee podgy man can fullfil his fantasy. Salmond is blinkered into wanting independence at ANY cost, he doesn't care what the people really want, he only cares about what HE wants. It wouldn't surprise me if he decreed that everyone had to start talking Gaelic and wearing kilts in the event of a successful yes vote. The man is living in some croft-dwelling, caber tossing, och aye the noo, fantasy land.

But we are in financial ruin anyway and if you mean, by the reach of some wee country, that it is a bad thing that we can't mega-kill people that we don't know I don't see the problem.
