They were quarter of an hour late due to one member's difficulty getting off the sack this morning. We are preparing poems for the Bridport Competition 2014. After taking turns to read them aloud and commenting we watched a film of John Agard reciting his poem, 'Listen Mr Oxford Don'. They were amused by that and quite keen to read and analyse the poem using four criteria; effect, context, technique, meaning, suggested in OU Y180. Next meeting 6th May 2014
