Moved to Fitzrovia ...?...

Visible to anyone in the world

...just east of Marylebone and at the eastern end of Wigmore street (and New Cavendish street).

Well then, Langham Place Pizza Express (PE) it was, on Sat 28th June, and a mighty fine pizza we all had too…  On this occasion Jason (also from KJ West One Hi Fi Shop) joined us for the customary eat/drink and discuss at one of the many PE’s that (hi fi) Richard and I frequent on Saturday evenings.

Seems like we’ve found another good one here, as not only were the pizza’s v.good, so was my espresso and being less than ten minutes walk from KJ, Langham Place PE may well take over from Thayer Street as the closest good one. Only time will tell as “the food preparation can vary” - unfortunately for Thayer Street (?) their pizza’s seem to have fallen behind in the ‘keeping up with other branches’ stakes and, although we’ve not been to the Baker Street PE recently, it was always much more busy than others at six o’clock when Richard and I eat.

Being in Fitzrovia is also good (for me, anyway) as… Workshop Coffee opened their newest coffeebar in Mortimer Street which I enjoyed whilst waiting for Richard and Jason. As this is literally around the corner from Langham Place (and the BBC offices), it would be a shame not to! So although this area is not as ‘up-market’ as Mayfair and the Berkeley Square surrounds, we do get Cavendish square to walk through and just as many interesting buildings to admire.

BUT... I don’t think that the Langham Place PE is as good as Bruton Place and even with having to walk twice as far, Bruton Place is still the favourite. Maybe we’ll try Luton again soon (not been there since March) and probably ‘BP PE’ in a couple of weeks time - with a bit of luck.
