Well here goes, I've signed up for the first module of a Law degree. I will shortly be 69 so it will be interesting to see if I have the necessary brain power, especially as I will be 75 by the time I graduate.
I am recently widowed and my wife always regretted that she did not study law and become a solicitor, so this is for both of us.
Fingers crossed!

Well, David, there are some on here who might regard you as a bit of a youngster!
I have just graduated (June) and it really was one of the best things I have ever done although I was about 45 years late!
I am a widow and, to be perfectly frank, I could not have studied for a degree whilst my husband was alive as I just would not have had the time. And I would have felt so guilty about the amount of pleasure that studying gave to me.
I did the degree when the time was right for me and it was the most incredible learning experience.
Good luck on your journey - and when you really miss having your wife with whom to share your excitement or discuss your achievements, well, that's what this PB is for. (Just view Site Entries).
All the best

Good luck. And make friends at the Law School they are lovely people. I had the privilege of working at the OU business and law schools for a year. You're in good hands on a world class course that is massively supportive and encouraging.
