It was in Bristol in the O2 academy. They were supported by two bands I hadn't heard of before called The Icarus Line and The Crying Spell. Both American. I liked The Crying Spell.
Killing Joke were awesome. Really awesome. I think that's getting towards the tenth time I've seen them and they never fail to please. Great night.
I'm quite jealous, my gigging life seems well and truly over; except for the occaisional tiny Festival, the last band I saw in a sweaty club was Hefner, while George was still a feotus, he's eleven now!

Now I'm jealous.
I don't think I know anyone else who has seen Hefner.
Most people's gigging days seem to be over. I went to Killing Joke on my own.

I think I was about sixteen when "The Hymn for the Alcohol" came out, and, as you might imagine if you could access my links, I was hooked. Ha.New comment
Really I love Hefner and now Darren Hayman, I used to go to see them whenever I could.New comment

B&H remind me of not giving up but giving in, boom boom boom!New comment
Alan Bean is one of my favourites lyrically. I don't know many though.New comment
All his lyrics are fantastic, and ''always about sex'' as John Peel once said but my favourite is ''Librarian''.
I haven't found anyone lately that has the same ascerbic wit mixed with their knowing ferocity.

It's a shame you don't get to access my links. You don't get to join in with music days like today.
