From primary one I was already labelled. I struggled to read and write, I just couldn't keep up with my peers. All the way through primary school I was removed from class to have 'learning support'. I was labelled a bit slow....
The intelligence of others has always fascinated me, people can be amazing! Why do I struggle to understand? What's different about my brain, is intelligence innate?
This label of being a bit slow has stuck. It's a battle with myself to believe I can be more than I expect or change the preconceived ideas of others.
Getting this degree is my Everest, I just have to keep climbing.
Whooop whoop...

NEVER FEAR ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE'S OPINION OF YOU
Dear Leanne
I read your blog and I just want to share an extract of a letter sent to me by a dear friend when I was having a very difficult time in my life. Please see below.
" ALWAYS REMEMBER, YOU ARE BRAVER THAN YOU BELIEVE, STRONGER THAN YOU SEEM AND SMARTER THAN YOU THINK."
Read those words each time you are low. You can read, you can understand and most of all you are willing to learn. SLOW is not bad, it is being stagnant that is dangerous. Keep going and you will reach your Everest.
Your friend
