Visible to anyone in the world

Weller for me talks about a blog of unorthodoxy, a rising challenge to academia on the openness of blogs and the change in technology and its affordances and what it means to the academic community particularly within open access publishing

Kirkup 2010 talks about the different types of Blogs and how academic blogs focused on academic work are not about personal feelings but about ideas, about thinking and adding these thoughts to a cloud and seeing how they float, how they are engaged with by other thinkers.  It's not about explanation its about exploration

Conole 2010 is a Blog of Cooperation, drawing on the paradigm of Web 2.0 practices and the collaboration that is driving them, Conole throws down a challenge to those blogging ideas to do it in a collaborative way, so the sum is greater than the parts so that the ‘published’ piece is an orthodoxy of its own - it is collaborative academic publishing.
