I read most of the new blog posts, but it is not usual to expect comments from other people. We have all been schooled in being very careful about upsetting people with loose and careless comments.
If you keep a blog, it is very likely that some people will read it. In September, with a new influx of students, many of them will explore the OU website, and if you have a few posts already, and have developed a style that you are comfortable with, then you may get some regular readers straight away.
