I have a week in Tenerife while the course drifts on.
TMA 03
Results were posted on my first day away. My mark was 10% worse than TMA 01 and 02, but much, much better than I expected. I knew I hadn't done well but some comments were about bids I had deleted because of the word count.
I'm feeling fairly confident of an overall TMA Pass mark now.
EMA Outline
This unmarked assessment, part of TMA 03, was useful. I will carefully check my POV, tense and structure, as well as continuing to work on the middle section.
Workshops
My pieces to assess appeared on the long journey home. They all look like parts of longer work, not draft TMA 04 like my offering.
Dates are almost unworkable. I will have less than a week to incorporate comments on my piece for TMA 04.
I fell sorry for students doing Scripts and Creative Non-Fiction. As with Workshop 3, Workshop 4 did not have enough entries to be workable.
Genre Forums
As for A802, these are almost useless. They close and reopen almost at random. They would have been useful for TMA 04 but they are now closed until after the due date.
Tutor Groups
I'm going to try my alternative draft TMA 04 (currently in Workshop 4) in the appropriate forum but I'm not expecting any responses. These three forums have been effectively dead for weeks.
Only a week until Easter. Then months of self-study for the EMA.
