I have submitted TMA 04 with very little help from the forums. Even the Genre wide forum, which they try to talk us out of using, shows no evidence of more than a few active students.
The Creative Writing part is an extract from a novel I am writing - not easy to do, but I can't write short stories. Comments from the Workshop were more about my Summary that puts the writing into context. The word count limit for the Summary is impossible. I've summarized what happened before the extract, saying little about what happens later. This will continue to be a problem for TMA 05 and remaining workshops.
The Writer in the World section was interesting. It's only 10% of the mark and 6 or 7 should be easily achievable.
What is left, apart from the Commentary of TMA 06, is all about my EMA. I could say that it's almost ready but I will keep revising it over the coming months. I have until October. I will use three remaining Workshops to test three more sections.
I need to work on the conflict, tension and uncertainty. And develop the characters.
I am not sure how much I have learned from this course.
