...as in two items of good news, not a single very good item in Doublespeak
I was at work yesterday, instead of being admitted to hospital with sepsis, as was the case at this time with the previous two cycles, so it seems my oncologist has found the sweet spot of a chemotherapy dose that has an effect but doesn't cause sepsis 😎.
More just as good news: my latest thyroglobulin results came back as a decrease from 97000 to 86000, compared to the previously exponentially increasing results of 20000, 41000, 97000! 😎🥳.
So the old Red Devil doxorubicin chemotherapy seems to be doing its job. Also, those readings were before the third cycle of chemo I had on Friday, so hopefully they'll continue their downward trend.
The nausea and fatigue is a little worse - I don't know if it is cumulatative to some degree - but I'm keeping on top of the nausea with metoclopramine anti-sickness medication, and keeping the fatigue at bay with the occasional extra nap, whether at home or work (I've got a thick foam mat at work that is excellent for a lunchtime nap in my office that leaves me refreshed for the afternoon; same strategy I used when I was on the Lenvatinib targeted anti-cancer drug previously).
That's all for now,
All the best,
Chris

Had all my fingers and toes crossed that you'd not get sepsis this time, and must be a relief that the numbers are going the right way. Your previous blog disappeared, so most people wouldn't have known about the sepsis after the first 2 treatments. Â
Keep up the good work xx

Long may the double good news continue, Chris. xxWow
How on earth do you remember the names of all of the drugs? I struggle with aspirin and parrots eat em all. Your relentless battle is inspiring!

Hope you are still improving and having naps at the office.  Keep going.
