Good luck with it! I remember struggling big time to hit my extended word limit of 55,000, it was the toughest part when I was putting the finishing touches, reading and reading the thesis all over again to spot repetitions, to find ways of being more succint here and there. Argh what an experience, but in the end well-worth it, perhaps it has finally taught me how to be concise and to avoid unnecessary repetition - here's hoping

Hi Carlos,
Mine's under 50,000, just, but still doing tweaks at my supervisors' suggestions.
I am telling myself that in a couple of weeks this will all be behind me - and then what will I do???!!!
Hope the abstract writing went / is going well.
I cannot believe how many typos have been spotted in a document I have read so many times...
Best wishes,
Rachel
