That is outrageous and I strongly urge you to pursue it. If it was supposed to go via Pay Pal then email the organiser and get him to send you a cheque. I have had a cheque out of him, for a refund for the entry fee when the server crashed.
I am now cured of my previous addiction. I intend never to go near this unsatisfactory competition again. Besides, I have bigger literary fish to fry now.
Never trust in a literary role a man the typography of whose emails is as awful as Mr Write-invite's. He really does type worse than the average Facebook user.
