I am excited at being given a fresh opportunity to study L193. I say being given, I have in real terms actually purchased the module again.
This time I have a few more books and a few more software apps to help me, which is good. I will list some of the more relevant ones.
Firstly there is a flash card system, Anki. I intend to use this for revision more than I used the OU provided system last time.
Secondly, there is a floating bar called Flexibar which will allow easy entry of those umlauted characters. They are absolutely necessary, I never learned the alt codes and the insert symbol is such a faff.
Finally, the book is Deutsch für den Ausländer. It can only be described as German for adults, it does cover mature themes.
Tschüss.

I hope you read your blog comments! I'd love to know the story behind the second go on Rundblick. It looks like you got all the way through last year judging by the very detailed blogs around August 2010. Warmest regards irrespective of whether or not you wish to talk about Rundblick. I successfully completed all the assignments, which I am proud of. This is a long module and I had difficulties with the OU assessment authority over a trivial matter. It escalated and I asked for an extension on my assessment. When this was refused I decided not to proceed. I don't regret this as assessments are stressfull and none of us need more stress in our lives.
I am lookig forward to completing the module again, it is fascinating, but oh so long. It reminds me of the tale of the Hare and the Tortoise, I recommend a Tortoise like learning strategy.
