If it wasn't for the melancholy I'd be nostalgic

Visible to anyone in the world

Jumpin' Jeehosaphat! Where the Sam Hill did the last eight months go? Seems like only minutes ago I was gettingĀ  to grips with the new list of students for the U101 module. (It used to be a course but it went metric, so now it's a module.) Rather delightfully as, I'm coming to discover, is the way of these things at the OU, it would appear that the kind of people who are drawn to it are, generally speaking, thoroughly good eggs. U101 (or LOLA to initiates) seems particularly good at attracting the kind of people I'd actually like to meet and have a drink with. As long as they'd been chemically coshed before hand, of course. Even via an almost entirely electronically delivered module, I still end up with a palpable feeling that over the last eight months I've gained a sense of the personalities of the students I've engaged with - even if only virtually.

So it is with that sense of bitter sweet happy-sadness that I brace myself again for bidding au revoir to another cohort to pass by my way on the road to greater enlightenment. It's not quite yet over though it has been fun.

Salut.
