While I'm waiting for my Mousakka experiment to turn into cardboard I thought that I'd rant about Typography for a while.

It bothers me that peoples' blogs here are so hard to read. That's down to bad typography. Not peoples' fault

My blog may be a stream of stupidity but it's easy to read. That didn't just happen—I was taught. So you can learn how to do it. Why isn't it built into this...mgoodulee..whatever it is?

I clicked on the ampersandconf link and struggled to read the text in the paragraph at the bottom of the page. It is almost a gray colour font on a white background and comes out a little blurry. The copy-write detail in the footer is even worse.

Not sure it is irony or just time to get my eyes tested again black eye

Cardboard was better than my mousakka. I would have tried to eat an old breakfast cereal box but there's probably gluten in that.

I'm liking this site

But I don't expect that I'll ever enjoy hot food again.

Actually I'm just a bad cook.

@David

Ace!

I disliked this site. It isn't the worst, but if you are going parade as saviours of the typeface? If you're a webby take a look at the HTML.

My blog posts are often hard to read, because no matter how neatly I space out each separate line of a poem, each time I hit the post button it all mushes up into one long stream squashed together. Although I am using a mobile phone, the exact same thing happened last year when I used a computer. So I am left having to put the symbol ~ to represent the start of each new line, and do several ~ ~ ~ ~ to denote a new paqagraph, I have more of a blob than a blog! Which is a bit frustrating, but better than nothing smile

You can get round this by clicking the HTML button [top right] and changing all the p tags to div.
When you want a new paragraph use <div style="margin-bottom:1em;">
But this is a hassle
and not something that we should have to do!

@ Wren

I has this a few days ago and I solved it by going to my profile, in the edit profile section you need to change the appearance from plain texts to pretty html, which is near the bottom of the profile section. I think that will work for you as it did me.

Good Luck
