Don't fret anyway even if you are branching out on your own there are your mates in Edinburgh if you want a regular get together once a month. The theatre royal or the filmhouse in the afternoons is a good place to discuss maths as it's usually quiet. Even after you've done all the undergraduate modules you want you can spend 12 years after the degree doing 2 MSc's in maths by doing all the modules via the OU.
So no shortage of mates to discuss maths with either real or virtual
