Hi Nellie

Good luck with your plan.  It sounds good to me.  I love your soul searching reflections on things and your honesty.  I hope I can be as courageous as you when my results come out.  I've learned a lot from you.

In Rosie's words 'onwards and upwardssmile '.

Take care,

Have you not thought of ditching Groups and waiting until the New Pure maths course comes out. OK you might not be able to include M381 in your final degree.

But M381 contains Godel's theorem so worth doing anyway. You could always park it in another Open degree. I'm certainly tempted to do that as I want a second crack at Metric spaces etc. It wouldn't prevent you getting on to the MSc as I believe people do MSc courses in conjunction with some undergraduate courses

Also there will be done of the geometry associated with the group theory element either.

I don't think your arithmetic adds up there Chris.  M303 is an excluded combination with all of M336, M338 and M381.  So even if Neil binned the resit of M336, he would have no net gain points wise.

I really need to do the groups again, my degree has to be completed by the end of 2014. Besides I'm annoyed with myself for failing.

M381 is computery and I have a Java course starting in February so I should be able to fit it all in.
