Agreed. I heard an academic on Al Jazeera scotching the moral equivalence argument. By authority. There is no moral equivalence. Because he says so.
There are people being murdered whether by governments or by individuals, who as you mention have shit for reasons. They're taking others' lives, destroying the lives of familes, whether with a machete, a gun, or a switch controlling a drone.

I haven't bought or read a newspaper since at Polytechnic . . . .er . . . a couple of years ago.
I really find the moralising & apparently expert opinion a bit over the top, particularly when different articles/posts etc say different things. Listening to talk radio LBC with Nick Ferrari (who admittedly does seem to find the worst elements of some stereotypes) earlier today it seems that whilst most people are saying the same thing the problem of some of the younger "brothers" approach to "their own" is rather more serious than I think many believe.
I currently have no Muslim acquaintances, but have had in the past & the definition of "person", "innocent", "us" seems to be quite liquid in it's interpretation with the younger ones I have met.
I am just a middle class white man after all. What can I know about the world!
