14.2 Doing the calculation

  1. Write down your working carefully even if you intend to write it out again. Use full-sized pieces of paper, not scraps; this makes your working much easier to follow and you are less likely to make mistakes.
  2. When you substitute numerical values, take care with units, scientific notation and significant figures.
