Are you ready for T192?
Main content
To start your engineering qualification module you need to have some basic technical understanding, some mathematical and IT skills and an ability to read and write to a good standard in English.
Are you ready to start an Engineering qualification (T192)? is a set of self-assessment questions designed to assess these skills. It will take you about 30 minutes to complete. When you have completed the quiz you will be given a summary of your performance and some general feedback about whether you are sufficiently prepared to start studying the introductory module in engineering and maths (T192). It may suggest some additional preparatory work before registering for an engineering qualification, or studying an Open University Access module before committing to degree level study.
The quiz is available throughout the year and you may attempt the questions as many times as you wish. The questions will be offered to you in order. To repeat a question or to attempt a question out of order, use the navigation panel on the left-hand side of the screen. For a small number of questions you will need access to a calculator.
Please take the questions seriously; take your time and do your best to answer them carefully. If you do not make a serious attempt at the quiz your feedback will be meaningless and you will not have a true indication of your preparedness to start studying for an engineering qualification.
