There's this new book out about the Titanic. Apparently it's an in-depth study.

Me in a rare cheerful mood

New comment

Is it one of those 'read while resting on the bed' books?

It sounds too deep for me.

Try reading some reviews: they'll help you break the back of it and get down into it.

Can I tell my potentially racist Titanic joke now?  I'm going to anyway, although I'm sure someone will be offended.

A Chinaman and an American Jew get chatting and introduce themselves to one another.  When the Chinaman says where he comes from the American Jew punches him in the face.  The Chinaman picks himself up off the floor and asks "What was that for?"

"Pearl Harbour" says the American Jew.

"That wasn't us!" protested the Chinaman.  "That was the Japanese!"

"Chinese, Japanese, it's all the same to me" snarled the American Jew.

There is a pause and a moment later the Chinaman punches the American Jew in the face.  As the American Jew gets up the Chinaman says "And that's for the Titanic!"

"That wasn't us!  That was an iceberg!"

The Chinaman says "Iceberg, Goldberg, it's all the same to me."
