Scars

There used to be a web site where people could write about their scars and what they meant to them.

I have a ragged white scar on the palm of my left hand where I leapt over a chain-link fence to rescue a kid who was being beaten with cricket bats.  I'm rather proud of that scar.

After a fashion, it was a nice wound to have, perhaps.
