Unable to leave it, but I'm assuming that Cy (lent night) and Dec (the halls..) are too easy pickings? I'm currently wrestling with O'Houlahan (night, the stars are brightly shining) but it probably needs the right regional Irish accent to come out right.
I take the point. I suppose the Gold Standard is one which includes a feasible Christian name and surname but isn't obvious just from the first. So anything starting with 'Mary' probably isn't going to be worth bothering with. Moving onto secular Christmas songs, the best I can offer are:

I like Cy and Dec but given the context they are too easy for the audience to guess. Maybe they can be developed hmmm
