Learning to use powerpoint

Visible to anyone in the world
Edited by Gill Burrell, Monday, 28 Jun 2021, 08:49

Hi fellow students,

I was relaxing this afternoon because it was a hectic week and next week it is going to be hectic too with tutorials, preps, presentations, group practice work, a.l.e.  and T.M.A. to start to prepare.
I am getting to grips with learning all about using the power point. I have never done anything like this before and I am not particularly technical.
I barely know one end of the computer to the other. You may laugh but this is a big deal for me, I am like someone from the last century !
I managed to put a photo on and write a text in the box this week.
Just now I watched football with hubby Leicester versus Man United good match we had some cheese, coleslaw and crisps sandwiches with some beer together and I tried to understand what was going on as he explained things to me and I just  nod in agreement.
This week I have learned a lot - power point, computers and football !
Which goes to prove you are never too old to learn !
Now where's my zimmer frame? Just joking ! lol!
Happy studying everyone !

Hi Gillian

How great to be bi-lingual, I am assuming you are, Anglais/Francais, based on some of your earlier posts. smile England has a long connection with France (viva the Plantagenets!) I possess French vocabulary, and (less) German, but I am certainly not bi-lingual.

You may not yet be fully conversant with PowerPoint, but soon you will be, it's very user-friendly. My computer/IT knowledge is limited, though by main (former) profession, quantity surveying, offered me the advantage of getting into software, from the second half of the 80's. I only ever use it though as a facilitator, a means to an end. I don't retain things I've done before with some of it, I put that down to my limited interest.

Thanks for your recent visit to my own blog and all the very best with your TMA's, EMA's, any exams etc. Stay well (both) too,

Jeremy

Hi Gillian

Power point was a nightmare for me in one TMA. Managed it eventually

Good luck
