I don't live in a big palace I just live in a village in the countryside. My humble little abode š is rented from the HA. It may be small but I like it it has a big garden, it is just a few minutes to the shops and village and is very close to the church. Most people have bought their house around here. Except for a few.
The fields are about 5 minutes away.
The buses run to the towns and city regularly, although the city is 30 miles away, so it is quite a long journey. I usually go just once a month.
The beach is quite nearby but is much better out of season!
It is very quiet here in the village and you can hear the birds singing.
I like my little garden here so I don't need exotic holidays to far away places.
I have my family, friends and my cats. I am grateful to God for all that I have. I maybe poor but I am happy!Ā Ā š š

Hi Gill
I think we were poor when I was growing up. Strange thing to say maybe but though I didnāt feel it probably others did. Ā I lived on a council estate, my dad passed away when I was six so mum had to work as no benefits were forthcoming for her and every penny counted Ā I was brought up with the attitude āif you donāt have the money to buy it you canāt have itā Ā
Having moved from the āPosh Housesā after the kids moved out we moved to a smaller home (old flat in an old fashioned street) and I couldnāt be happier. My old neighbours were so up themselves I was miserable.Ā
Iāve never been one to think Iām better than anyone else and hate those that do.
I like the sound of your village life Ā
