I have enjoyed my staycation so far.
We have had lots of hot weather, so I have been out in the garden pottering about.
Enjoyed being in the paddling pool, which I placed alongside the shed under the canopy of the overhanging trees, right in the corner hidden from view. It was good to plunge my hot feet into the cold water!
I have tidied the garden up a little bit and seen lots of birds, butterflies and the occasional squirrel, while sitting in my 'hideaway' reading my book. It is lovely and peaceful under the trees and I have felt connected to nature.
We had a nice picnic al fresco, in the garden on the picnic table. I also had a very good bike ride earliier with my friend around the quiet country lanes.
I have visited a local wood for quiet contemplation, had some long walks in the countrysde and we went to visit our friends on the allotments this week. We helped them out and bagged some vegetables at the same time!
Next week we are all (family) going to visit a local nature reserve in our area. Looking forward to going there!
We may even stop at our local beach on the way back.
