Making notes for part 2 of TMA01

Visible to anyone in the world
Edited by Gill Burrell, Wednesday, 10 Nov 2021, 19:04

Well, I feel like I have made some progress today!
After researching the genre, into which I will be endeavouring to make my rewrite, I was able to keep a record of all the words and phrases, that I will be using for the rewrite, into the new genre.
I then made a list of the all the literary devices,  that will be appropriate for this task.

Remembering also about the rhetorical devices,  that I had learnt at stage two, which were pathos, ethos and logos, these will be very useful for this task . Of course,  not forgetting the new skills that I have just learned about creative language,  and stylistic analysis, these will be  great tools for this particular part of the assignment.

The word count for the task is 300,  so that's not too long, but I have to make every word count. Lots of reading about literary devices, in module book one and in the stylistics book. Finding it very interesting especially learning about translation techniques too.

Hopefully,  I am going out this  Friday (or next) to the city by bus, then Saturday I will be having the flu jab,  as I usually do at this time of year. No news of the Covid booster jab yet, I expect it will probably be next month. I will try to persuade my son to come out with me for a little walk at the weekend to get a bit of  exercise and fresh air.

Hi Gill

300 words is not a lot. My assignment was 250 and it was really difficult to say everything I wanted. Just waiting on it coming back

Hi Juidth,

The 300 words was for part 2. Next 700 words for part 3. Plus 1000 for part 1. Just part 3 to do next.  To explain how I did the rewrite and what literary devices I used. Level three is getting much harder now!

Hope you do well in your TMA. All  best wishes.
