Feeling sad about this war in Ukraine. I am feeling Sorry for the people of Ukraine, who are suffering from this terrible 'attack' on them and their families.

How can this happen? and so close to us in Europe? but surely this war did not come out of nowhere,  what were the events leading up to it?
Is Putin a mad man or does he have some kind of plan?
Or Is it about money, power or resources?

It is probably complex. Anyway I hope it will all be resolved soon.

I am sick of all this death and war!

Well, whatever happens I still have to get on and study!

This Morning

After a quick walk around the field,  nearest to the village limits, I take in some air, while looking about me at the crocuses, snowdrops and daffodils growing beside hedgerows and brooks.

Around here they call them drains or dykes, which doesn't really capture the sight and sounds of these beautiful bubbling brooks! guess I am a bit of a romantic!

All is quiet and peaceful in the meadow. There are sheep in the next field grazing, but I don't venture too far out these days. As someone who has suffered anxiety from a very young age,  I feel well suited to living here in a quiet place.

Once I get back home, I go to put the kettle on and settle down to study in the main lounge, In front of the window, I am just watching the birds fly down from the little wood behind the house.

The birds fly down onto the bird table to nibble the seeds I had put there earlier. Soon there will be plenty of insects for them to catch in the Spring time.

I put some relaxing background music on quietly, which helps me to concentrate, then I get out my book . Book 3 and study chapter 1 (again).  Copy  a long list of useful words into my digital note book.

Rhetoric: the art of persuasion. The use of Rhetorical devices Logos, Pathos And Ethos. Aristotle argued for a right balance between Logos, Pathos and Ethos.

For example an overuse of pathos could lead to overtly propagandist texts, where appeals to the rational are overridden by those to the heart. This maybe one reason why political rhetoric has long been regarded with suspicion!

I think this must be why a lot of people don't trust the politicians.

I Write notes down and download this unit onto ReadEra. I can then  read this unit off line tomorrow.
