Covid Effects!

Visible to anyone in the world
Edited by Gill Burrell, Wednesday, 14 Feb 2024, 14:32

I don't want to go on too much about Covid19 but ithis virus is still affecting me!

I am experiencing muscle pains, fatigue, falling asleep during the day, brain fog, confusion, difficulties with mobility and so on.

I have now tested negative for Covid but why do I still feel so weak ?

I have tried to get out a few times for a walk and I have even been on the bus into town. However, when I am outside I feel so painful and exhasted, out of breath, I can't wait to be at home. I will keep persisting in trying to go for walks. I will not  be beaten by this damned covid illness!

Hi Gill

I remember you saying something about it in 1 of your recent blog posts.   Almost 2 years after I had it for the 1st time I am still feeling effects from it, mainly falling asleep at times in addition to when I normally do so.

The best recommendation I can think of would be to see your gp about it and hopefully there will be something that will help you recover as much as possible.

I hope you do get better, just take your time and you'll be ok, the main thing I have found is not to rush back into action and expect to do everything I did before I had it in 2022.

Take it easy Gill.

Hi Mike,

Thank you Mike for your kind words. Sorry to hear about your own  covid effects that you had.  It doesn't help that it is in the middle of winter that I caught it. Never mind lets hope the milder weather is not too far way.

Best wishes

Gill

I remember hearing about something called post-viral fatigue. This is where you get an infection, get cleared of the infectious agent, but still feel ill. That was in  the 1980's. Hopefully, there may be a cure for it by now.  Then again, there may not.

I would contact your doctor about this, for a professional response.
