Today I feel alive, it is one of those days that I feel my blood surging and have that feeling of optimism again.
It doesn't happen often so I am savouring it!
I usually feel pessimistic in the approach to winter ( I often suffer from SAD) but for now I am looking on the bright side of life!
There is no particular reason that I can think of
for this feeling, except perhaps it is because my TMA02 is almost finished and I will soon be sending it off to be marked! Hurrah!
🙂

I normally feel very down at this time of year too, but having studies to concentrate on has really kept me going. I realise for me it's not just about getting enough physical light, but is a frame of mind as well. Good to remember next time I feel down!

Hello Gill and Neil,
I was thinking about this subject today. I don't suffer emotionally with the seasons, but I lived in Stavanger for a while and I got to thinking how the Scandinavians cope.
I found this book this morning and I will order it.
Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times by Katherine May.
A reflective exploration of life's darker seasons and finding beauty within them.
