According to the Big Mental Health Report 2024 by Mind, approximately 1 in 4 individuals in England will encounter a mental health issue at some point during the year.
The economic burden of poor mental health (just in England) is staggering, estimated at £300 billion annually, which is roughly double the NHS's yearly budget.
The workplace can serve as a significant support system for mental health, fostering resilience, or it can negatively impact mental well-being.
In my article titled "How can organisational culture support the mental health of employees?", I discuss the repercussions of inadequate mental health support from a corporate perspective and provide actionable strategies for cultivating an organisational culture that prioritises mental health.
