We walked slowly along the shore
Wind and sand in our faces
Ours is the vast blue spaces
Of beach, and sea and sky
Sea-gulls wheeled over head
With screeching cry
We tasted the salty sea on our lips
And in our watering eye
Pebbles crunch beneath our naked feet
And slippery seaweed fronds
Wet with froth entwine
To tie our bonds
As hearts with love still beat
The giant windmills turned their heads to the sky
Passing quickly, a boat speeding by
Leaving a trail of foam
Time for us to head for home.

Sorry this photo was taken in France quite a few years ago! (But one can dream!)
