When sitting travelling on the bus to go the nearest town or city for appointments, I like to listen to Classical music on my head phones, especially while passing through the countryside in the winter time. ( I have a winter playlist) occasionally I get to see deers, hares and foxes. It feels so genteel and calm watching fields, woods and little hamlets going slowly by, while listening to classical music. Sometimes I listen to Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, Bach. including Air on the G String and "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring", and the Best of Bach.
Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D major, the Pastoral and other Piano works. Or Lark assending by Vaughn Williams. Also listening to Ludvico Einaudi Primevera.
Philip Glass, Cage, Steve Reich, Reilly,.I like some of the more modern classical piano pieces, I am just starting to get into it. These pieces are so relaxing, great for relieving my stress levels, so that I arrive at my destination feeling happy and relaxed.
I can't wait to get my bus pass then I will be able to travel all over for free!
What music do you like to listen to when travelling by car, bus or train?

I always have podcasts in my ears while on the move, but while studying I have Einaudi, Rachmaninoff, Mozart, or some instrumental Folk music. It's odd why some things work for study, and some things done - even if on the surface they sound very similar!

Hi Neil,
Yes I agree. I think some patterns of music appeal to certain parts of the brain rather than other pieces.
That would make an interesting study!

Hi, Gill and Neil.
I am heading up to Skye at the end of the month and thought I would listen to some folk music composed there. I came across this C.D and I believe it takes me to the place including nature and all that.
But what struck me is that trying to categorise is is like herding cats. There's a bit bit of Weather Report (jass), a blend of Scottish air and classic. It certainly evokes nature for sure.

Hi Gill
For me it's got to be Queen, The Shadows, Pink floyd / David Gilmour and / or some of the music I recorded either by myself or when I was part of the group I had with my mum, dad and a friend who we've known since 1999.
How you doing anyway, long time no speak, I have been busy with S283 TMA02 and TMA03 over the last month or so ( luckily not too close together ), got 1 more tma to do then hopefully ( if I qualify for it ) the exam in June.

Hi Mike,
You have an excellent musical choice there with Queen- The 1970's was my musical era with some memorable bands.
I hope you get on ok with your final exams. I too hope to finish my Degree this year.
Good Luck 👍
