Had a bit of a lazy morning Sunday morning. I ate a banana for breakfast, drank a large coffee with a small cream bun (just for once!) ☕🍰 The sun was streaming in through the 🌝 windows, the street was fairly quiet outside, just the general hum of human activity, not too much traffic. I opened all the windows and doors, to let in the fresh air. The cats were all 🐈🐈 playing in the garden about 4 or 5 of them all rolling about in the grass and enjoying the big lawn to play on!
🟩🌳 🏡 I did the washing up with my husband, then we talked about the various tasks, we had to do for today. It was not a particularly busy day, so I took my time. My son was having a lie in today, after he had a difficult night's sleep, so we let him sleep in, as we tip- toed about, to get ready to go out for a walk.
The task was to put all the recycling at the🅿️ recycling park and pick up some shopping on the way back. We had 4 large carrier bags to dispose of mostly plastic bottles, cardboard, papers and jam & sauce jars.🚮
We put the recycling at the car park in the bins provided. The recycle park is only about (10 minutes) away from us. After that we continued to the big park and walked around the playing field, passing the pavillion, the old tennis courts, the spinney wood, the picnic benches and play area before heading out of the main entrance. (This took us about 15 minutes.)
Following this we took the footpath leading to the fields. We only took the footpath around the first few fields. The 🌾 wheat field, 🐑🐑the sheep field, 🟩the wild meadow and the vegetable field. There were some signs of wildflowers starting to grow there, Yellow🌼🌻🌾 flowers cowslips, pink and white bells, I think, but couldn't see very close up what the other flowers were that were there, as we kept moving to keep up a brisk pace, it was an exercise walk rather than a stroll or ramble. (20 minutes)
From here up a slight incline and then right through the field, on the designated foot path and through the back lanes, towards the lovely little woodland that I like. There was a lovely view looking back over the fields!
🌳🌳🌲🌲☘🍀☘We sat on the new bench, that had been recently placed, next to the woodland. From that position we could see into the interior of the wood, from the bench, to the side view of the wood and we hear the birdsong coming from within. The wood looks a bit sparse at the moment, not very leafy, but by the late spring and summer time, the leaves will have grown, then there will be a thick foliage, so thick it will not be possible to see the interior of the wood. However, the birdsong will be heard more than ever! 🦅🕊🦅🐦🦉
Setting off from here we head to up the steep incline and reached the lane into the market place, but before that there is a green space here too with benches also some fruit trees growing there, but it may take a while for the first fruits to appear. We just passed through here This takes about (10 minutes). Another 15 minutes and we arrive at the supermarket and go in quickly to buy a few items for the meal today.
Finally, for the walk back, we took the longer route back, through the market place, continuing along Church street and down into tree lane. We then took the turning back home at the end of the lane.. So all in all about 1 hour and a half of walking about. A good bit of exercise achieved!
