Matthew 7:24-27 (from the new testament of the Bible)
The Wise and Foolish Builders Jesus said.... 24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” *************
Chapter 7 of Matthews gospel in the Bible, is full of wise instructions, these were spoken by Jesus when he spent his time here on earth. As well as having a good relationship with God through prayers and meditations, we are also encouraged to read and follow the instructions of Jesus. He was the stone the builders rejected, but has now become for us the precious cornerstone and foundation on which to build our faith upon. Faith and good works go hand in hand and the 'works ' we do are evidence of our faith, because faith without good works is dead!
