I have been to an open day today , to look around the exercise gym quite near to where I live, on the edge of the village, near the fields. There are some free sessions available and I really am in need of some exercises right now. The Autumn/ Winter weather is coming and although I love walking, at the moment I am not in top condition physically. I feel weak and slow,
I can't walk as far as I used to!
I would like to build up my muscles and stamina again. Unfortunately after my accident last year, I have been too easy on myself!
I need to get myself fit and back to walking with my son, for whom I am his carer. His dad has taken him out a few times but not very far.
I need to get myself back into action again!
I have still got my kit from last time I went to the gym, quite a few years ago, but that should be ok..
The facilities are excellent at the gym with shinning new equipment, changing and shower rooms. There is also a cafe, where you can get smoothies and other drinks,
So I am going to give it a go see how I get on.

Good on you getting yourself back to the gym.
Last Sept we got a springer puppy and just getting out to walk him has done wonders. We also did away with our car as we have a small camper van and decided no point having a car that hardly gets used. As we live in town I’m only a five min walk from shops, dentist, doctor etc and personally the best decision as physically and mentally I have benefited

Well done for reducing your car usage. That's great good for the environment and healthy for you! I am getting my bus pass in January, so looking forward to popping into the city sometimes.
When we had a dog 🐕🦺 I walked a lot more! Now I will just have to walk my husband instead!
